This Private Chef position is for a Southern NJ residence.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
• Strong passion for health-conscious cooking, clean eating, and fitness-driven lifestyles
• Proven ability to design and execute menu programs across multiple residences (main house, guest house, and additional properties)
• Full ownership of ordering, purchasing, and inventory management with a strict commitment to sourcing all ingredients locally, this is a zero–grocery store environment
• Build and manage relationships with farmers and local purveyors; oversee all sourcing logistics directly from farms, vendors, and the estate garden
• Lead ingredient sourcing not only for the household but also for neighboring families and community members, requiring strong business acumen, cost management, and organizational oversight
• Strong knowledge of sustainable cooking practices and organic gardening
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in community engagement
• Must be highly proficient with numbers, systems, and operational structure, this individual will take full ownership of the culinary program and must treat it as a business

Preferred Background

• Experience developing seasonal menus tailored to specific dietary needs and preferences
• Hands-on experience with fermentation, preservation, and scratch-made pantry items (e.g., kombucha, granola, pickling, fermentation)
• Established relationships with local farmers and specialty vendors
• Hands-on gardening experience, including cultivating vegetables, herbs, and fruits
• Familiarity with organic gardening techniques and plant health monitoring
• Experience with community outreach, education, or wellness initiatives
• Strong understanding of the holistic benefits of sustainable, land-based living
