Job Description

Marketing Project Manager Job Summary:

Sparks Group is partnering with a global professional association based in Washington, DC to identify a detail-oriented, results-driven Marketing Project Manager to support a large-scale organizational rebrand. This is a long-term, hybrid contract opportunity (2 days onsite).

We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused problem solver who thrives in bringing structure, clarity, and forward momentum to complex, cross-functional initiatives. In this role, you’ll play a key part in guiding an enterprise-wide brand transition while enhancing the processes, workflows, and communication strategies that power high-quality creative output. You’ll act as a central point of coordination—keeping teams aligned, timelines on track, and stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the transformation.

Marketing Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to the organization’s brand transition.
  • Manage cross-functional teams responsible for rebrand implementation, content updates, and readiness across the organization.
  • Collaborate with communications and leadership teams to deliver clear, consistent, and timely messaging to stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project plans, trackers, risk logs, and reporting tools to ensure visibility across all workstreams.
  • Assess existing processes, intake methods, approval workflows, and communication channels.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance collaboration within creative teams.
  • Develop and standardize templates, playbooks, and procedures to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor team capacity and workload to support prioritization and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Serve as a key liaison across internal teams, including communications, digital, product, and business units.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates to align stakeholders and communicate progress, challenges, and key decisions.
  • Ensure all contributors have the necessary information, context, and direction to execute their responsibilities effectively.
  • Build alignment across teams through proactive communication and strong relationship management.
  • Track deliverables, milestones, and action items across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Proactively identify risks and challenges, escalating issues with thoughtful solutions.
  • Provide clear documentation, summaries, and next steps to maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators, milestones, and adoption metrics tied to the rebrand.
  • Leverage data and insights to refine processes, uncover gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset, testing and optimizing workflows and change management approaches.

Marketing Project Manager Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, creative project management, or change management; experience supporting a rebrand initiative is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to build structured project plans and maintain accountability for timelines and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable steps.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and guide teams through change.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a natural ability to create structure, processes, and clarity.
  • Experience developing scalable systems, documentation, and workflows to support efficient teamwork.
  • Positive, approachable mindset with a strong focus on partnership and shared outcomes.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and maintain progress in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Comfortable using data and metrics to assess performance, inform decisions, and improve processes.
