This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain foundational experience in the world of government relations, working closely with seasoned professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment. This role provides valuable exposure to the inner workings of a top-tier GR firm. You will focus on essential operational and supportive tasks that contribute to our client success and team efficiency, building a strong base for a future career in public policy or government relations.

As a Government Relations Intern, you will play a key supportive role within our team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client & Team Logistics:  Help coordinate logistics for client engagements, internal meetings, and team activities. Assist in the preparation and organization of materials for meetings and presentations.

  • Special Projects Contribution:  Contribute to various special projects as needed, which may involve organizing data, preparing basic reports, or assisting with the compilation of information for internal initiatives.

  • Learning & Development:  Observe and learn from experienced professionals, gaining insight into government relations strategies, client advocacy, and firm operations in a real-world setting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current undergraduate student (ideally junior or senior year) or a recent graduate (within the last year) with a strong academic record, preferably in Political Science, Government, Public Policy, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid research and information-gathering abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
  • A strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
  • United States Citizenship with appropriate documentation for employment is required.

Availability:  We are seeking candidates available for 30-40 hours per week for the months of June through August 2026. This is an in-person role at our Washington, DC office, and candidates must be able to reliably commute to the location.

Compensation:  This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 USD per hour.

To Apply:  Interested candidates should submit their resume and complete the required screening questions.
